Executive Summary & WiFi 7 Vision

1.1 Phase 5 Overview

Abhavtech Phase 5: WiFi 7 Wireless-First Migration transforms Abhavtech's enterprise network from traditional wired-centric to wireless-first architecture using IEEE 802.11be (WiFi 7) technology.

Deployment Timeline: - Phase 5A Pilot: Q2 2025 (3 months) - 115 APs across 4 sites - Phase 5B Production: Q3 2025-Q2 2026 (12 months) - 1,220 APs enterprise-wide - Phase 5C Steady State: 2027+ - Wireless-first operations

Scope: - Sites: 19 locations (APAC, EMEA, Americas) - Users: 15,000+ employees - Infrastructure: 1,220 WiFi 7 APs, decommission 144 access switches (330 → 186, ~54% reduction in active wired ports)

1.2 Strategic Vision: Wireless-First Architecture

Core Principle: "Wireless by Default, Wired by Exception"

What Changes: - Before: Users tethered to desks with Ethernet cables, limited mobility - After: Users work from anywhere with >4 Gbps wireless performance (faster than wired 1G)

Business Drivers: 1. Mobility: Support hybrid work, hot-desking, collaboration spaces 2. Performance: WiFi 7 delivers 4-5 Gbps (4x faster than WiFi 6) 3. Simplicity: Reduce cable clutter, easier office reconfigurations 4. Cost: Lower infrastructure costs (fewer switches, cables, ports)

1.3 WiFi 7 Value Proposition

Key Technologies:

Technology Benefit Business Impact
Multi-Link Operation (MLO) Simultaneous 5 GHz + 6 GHz, <50ms roaming Zero-packet-loss mobility, 99.98% uptime
320 MHz Channels 2x bandwidth vs WiFi 6E (160 MHz) 5.8 Gbps theoretical, 4-5 Gbps real-world
4096-QAM 20% more bits per symbol vs WiFi 6 Higher throughput in good RF conditions

Performance vs Previous Generations:

Metric WiFi 6 WiFi 6E WiFi 7 Improvement
Max Throughput 1.2 Gbps 2.4 Gbps 5.8 Gbps 4.8x faster
Latency 20-30ms 15-20ms <10ms 50-70% lower
Roaming Time 200-500ms 150-200ms <50ms 75-90% faster
Reliability 99.5% 99.7% 99.98% 30x fewer outages

1.4 Integration with Phases 1-4

Phase 5 completes Abhavtech's 5-phase network transformation:

Phase 1: Zero Trust Architecture (2023-2024) - ISE 802.1X authentication, TrustSec SGT segmentation - Phase 5 Integration: WiFi 7 clients inherit SGT enforcement, <50ms SGT preservation during MLO roaming

Phase 2: AI-Enabled Observability (2024) - Splunk MLTK, DNAC Deep Network Model, ThousandEyes - Phase 5 Integration: WiFi 7 telemetry (MLO events, 320 MHz utilization), predictive analytics for WiFi 7 client health

Phase 3: AI-Ready Network Architecture (2024-2025) - Catalyst Center automation, AI Endpoint Analytics - Phase 5 Integration: AI Assistant natural language queries for WiFi 7, automated MLO tuning

Phase 4: AI Edge Networking (2025) - UCS XE9305 edge AI inference, 40 AI cameras (Mumbai/Chennai) - Phase 5 Integration: Wireless Edge AI cameras with <10ms latency (vs 20-30ms wired), eliminating cable runs
